Billy Madison. It's actually pretty different for an American comedy because it's full of dry, absurdist humor. Seriously, despite the premise (and Sandler), the movie isn't about him acting like an idiot, and the jokes all come from completely ridiculous things happening, while the characters mostly play straight.
I saw just go with it and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be
