FTWD was decent, but pointless
it didn't even attempt to try and explain the fallout or what or who caused it (other than some extremely vague and subsequently never referred to BS about 'flu vaccines'), which is what everyone was expecting or at least hoping it to do
I really don't care about any of the characters or their survival. half the cast could be killed in one episode and I wouldn't have even noticed they were gone by the next

I like it and lil dillane is a great actor, but it's not better than TWD. Both mediocre shows.
Just watched it and found they didn't spend enough time actually doing anything or developing interesting conflict. The daughter even has to interrupt her mom and stepdad to remind them they're bickering about trivial bullshit. It's like the writers were acknowledging they didn't know what to do.
Either that or budget is so low they couldn't afford to do anything. I was so fucking disappointed when the 3rd episode confirmed that the neighborhood was where the rest of the show would take place.

I literally forgot this show existed. I stopped watching after the second episode I think. The drug addict dude was the only character I found interesting, probably because he was the only one who could actually act and give a good/memorable performance.

The show got noticeably more interesting every time he was onscreen. Those first 2 episodes are as good as the show gets, unfortunately.
