Well, here's the thing: With all the behind the scenes footage we've gotten so far, even if it is just ads for the movie, there's been footage of these props in motion. There's been real explosions (2015 Comic Con reel) that looked the same as they did in the "We need a pilot" clip, there's that shot of Not-Revan coming out of the ship with steam all around him, hell we've even seen that big guy (for you) on the right of the human in OP's pic in action in the Legacy featurette.
No reason to believe it's 100% CG, and that these models are made specifically to sell toys. They could do that with miniatures anyway.

Don't forget there's usually a reference maquette for CGI effects. They'll shoot it once to see how it looks under the lighting of the scene and then replace it with CGI

Bitch I make toys for a living. We do not, ever, EVER use or commission a full life size model of the toys we make. That never fucking happens - not in any fucking store. Action figures, statuettes, ETC, are sculpted out of clay or vinyl and dressed up to create a prototype. Before that phase is the 3D concept, which is another vinyl or clay sculpt that just shows basic shapes and points of articulation.
