Any Germanfag here?
I want to improve myself in German, as I did with English, I want to watch some true german TV show, subtitled in German of course ( not this hardcore sorry), anyone to give me advice? Movies are welcomed too, if it can give me culture about Germany, well, why not.

le unsere mutter unsere vater
Original German television programming is fucking terrible. You're better off watching shows you already know well in english and watching them in German.
Cobra 11
Die Sendung mit der Maus

you want german speaking shows, with german subtitles?
Despite what you say, that's hardcore.
German tv is shit.
What you want to do is watch German movies and American movies/series dubbed in German (Disney's are not hard to find).

Fix your English first, then watch Ballermann.

I like Der Tatortreiniger, however it relies on Hamburger slang so that might be a problem. On the other hand I am no Hamburger either and it was no problem for me to understand, native German speaker though.

most german stuff is shit, just watch your favourite show/movie with german dub
Berlin Tag & Nacht
X-Diaries

You will shine in any German class with the knowledge you get from watching those 2

Lola Rennt
This is the only german production from the last 25 years I didn't hate. Also try to get some 80s Schimanski episodes.
sadly there are no good german tv shows
the best movies has Austria though and they speak with a strong dialect, however if you are interested:
Schlafes Bruder (1995)
Hotel (2004)
Goodnight Mommy (2014)
Der Verdingbub (2011)
Deutschland 83, recent co-production with the Sundance Channel.

What do you mean? I mean it's understable
Braunschweig, very recent TV show from Austria, is supposed to get a remake in US TV too. Not 100% sure how you will do with some of the accents, but nowadays they just use standard German mostly.
Also, Haneke films.

Nigger, no one says "it's understandable". You would say, "I speak fine." Fix your English.
>>63512068
French don't have TV's. Television is against the sharia.

Well, thanks I guess
Monaco Franze is probably my favourite German TV show. It's a really funny show that follows the exploits of a charming womanizing police detective and starts very light hearted and turns into a social study over the course of its 10 episodes as we follow its main characters downward spiral into alcohol and homelessness. BUT the characters do speak with Bavarian dialect as it is set in Munich.
