Because /pol/ got butthurt that he made some social justicey jokes, like two or three out of all of his material. So then they started shitposting about it. Then the shitposting redditor crowd ran with it and shitposted about it even harder. Now every thread about him involves interracial breeding ground pastas. Some of which are funny but most of them aren't.
As for CK, I dunno. I watched that special he did with that blue collared shirt with "BUT MAYBE" jokes and it was kind of weak. His older stuff was gold though. Haven't looked him up recently, been stuck on Bill Burr.

His show is pretty good in terms of style and shit. It's obvious that he actually knows what he's doing, at least. As for how funny he is, I mean that depends on you. I don't think he's getting weaker though, as some people say. His SNL standup about child molesters was gold, and not because it was funny, but because he had the balls to say that shit on national TV and half the people agreed with him because he made some good points. Whether you like his humor style or not, he's a good comedian.
All the meme shitposting about him got old really fast, but then again you can't really stop it so whatever.
