It's season 3 all over again. There are great scenes clearly written by talented people completely surrounded by surrounded by shit scenes written by dribbling retards. Acting and direction is all over the place and they have no real idea how to handle the, "Why hasn't the Flash done all this for them," thing.
But Damien Darhk is actually a great villain, unlike their version of Ra's, and Ray isn't shitting up every single episode, so it's better than 3 at least. Still shit, though.

I dunno, it'll depend a lot on how they handle it. I think him having a family makes sense, though, and the writers actually thought of that when Damien was about to gas the kike and he says something like,

It is a very cheap way to level the playing field, though.
