I thought we had moved past wirefu, especially wirefu that does NOTHING NEW. Instead we get extra heavy doses of hidden tiger, flying daggers, shitty kid actors.
How can you have choreography which is essentially dancing after movies like The Raid, Borne Ultimatum, Jack Reacher, Dirty Carnival, Ong Bak, Blood & Bone, etc. It's an insulting step back from what action can and should be.
And even then the awful choreography would be acceptable if it wasn't for the fact the presentation of this "serious/grim" world is delivered like a Hercules/Xena, b-tier show spinoff by the terrible casting choices. That kid should be in the new Power Rangers not an AMC spotlight show.

It works perfectly in a historical drama because of slow pacing and epic themes. It doesn't work in a show that's a western book of eli/mad max.
