Three body problem is about aliens who are fed up living in a solar system with 3 suns tries to invade our solar system. It's a pretty sweet book, and it has a lot of neat pop-science stuff like carbon nanotubes to out there subatomic engineering.
Ready Player One is basically about a kid in the near future tries to find a super hidden easter egg in a VR game.

how good is the book?

I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. The characters are kind wooden but I liked the cop character in it well enough. It had a lot of new/abstract ideas in it for science fiction.
It's around 400 pages but I blew through it, it's not dumbed down too much, but it's still easy reading I think.
