kind of supported the space program and implied that money spent there is not wasted. I agree with the movie but it does have a peripheral agenda
>>

The Good Dinosaur didn't have any agenda. Age old story about people who live off the land who have trouble with creatures who threaten their livestock/existence, mixed with a bunch of western tropes. If anything, it was just a highly predictable movie because the premise is so common.

Paid for by Philip Morris. It's an ad campaign to garner good will from America, so they can keep selling cigarettes to the rest of the world, especially 3rd world or countries that don't have the money to judicially fight multi-billion dollar tobacco conglomerates.

John "IT'S 2015 PEOPLE" Oliver did a simple, easy to understand for plebs segment about it before he went super libcuk,

The movie was strongly against the idea of "you tried your best" which is a liberal concept

It's all a clever ruse to make cigarettes look cool by making anti-smoking people look and act like absolute fags (which isn't hard, they tend to do that pretty well themselves but that's beside the point).

Dear White People.
>>
>>63489839
I don't see it. Being based on satire and having critique doesn't mean something has an agenda. Dredd (as a movie) has no agenda/purpose besides making money.

It's like saying Alien is anti-rapist, or The Dark Knight is pro-Patriot Act. A movie with an agenda means it has to appeal towards a certain thing to either win awards or get brownie points for something. Like 12 Years A Slave is oscar-bait.

Boyhood.

>atheism is a religion too

Nah, it's much more like "Atheism implies an opinion with respect to religious beliefs".

In fact, if you want to get technical, the better analogue would be "Apatheism implies an opinion with respect to religious beliefs". And hey, it does.
>>
>>63490829
But that's not what agenda means anon
>>
>>63490997

What 'agenda' means in the context of a film is, basically, the impression the makers want the audience to leave the film with. Right?

It's not a perfect analogical transition from 'atheism' (or 'apatheism') to 'a movie', but that's your problem, not mine. You brought in the analogy.

Like Rush said, If you choose not to decide, you have still made a choice.
>>
No movie has ever not had social or political themes. It would be a pretty bad movie if it didn't.
