It didn't feel right to make another Star Wars thread just to ask this, so I'll do it here.
Why aren't Star Wars movies typically released in the summer? I think most other episodes came out in May, and the new one is in December. Don't studios like to release their blockbusters in summer to blow the competition out of the water? Why is SW left with odd release dates?
