Which Treehouse of Horror segment is the scariest?
I think it's got to be Nightmare Cafeteria
>NO I'M THE HEAD VAMPIRE
couldn't look at my mom for weeks
I've always thought the 3d oneHomer 3.0?and the time travel one were the most depressing.
>>63473392
That one is pretty fucked up, probably the best Treehouse overall too. I think the Nightmare on Elm St one with Willy, and the one where they're in the Itchy and Scratchy cartoon, have some very uncomfortable moments.
Was the zombie one for me cause I was a faggot kid.
I got the most disturbed by the Burns surgeon segment.
Not only was it confronting to see a brain getting ripped out of an unsuspecting body, but Burns saying "Oh that's right, it's all a dream...or IS IT? MUAHAHAHA" while it faded to credits and the violin started playing seriously stuck with me.
I legitimately think I remember having nightmares recite that line to me in Burns' voice.

I hope I didn't trigger you too hard :(
>>63473859
that's just not how to use the word anon. I'm sorry that english is your second language but confronting isn't the proper word here.
>>63473592

The Burns alien was scarier for me than any of the Treehouse of Horrors episodes
>>63473956
That one made me so anxious and stressed out as a kid whenever it was on.
The one with 15 extra seasons done by new writers and "animators"
Barts conjoined brother episode always freaked me out
My favorite is probably The Shinning bit. I had seen that episode so many times when I was younger, but hadn't actually seen The Shining, when I finally did I spent most of the movie laughing because I saw all the jokes they made in Simpsons.
>>63473919
Sure I'm not ;)
>>63473985
You and me both anonI also didn't like werewolf Flanders
>>63474023
No seriously, follow the replies. You replied to the guy mocking him for not knowing what confronting means
>>63474042
Werewolf Flanders was fucking terrifying. Are we the same person, Anon? ~~~
>>63473895
but it is tho
English is my first language.
Confront can relate to engaging someone/thing "I confronted him about slapping my girlfriend's ass"
It can relate to being faced with a problem "I was confronted with a dilemma, should I let him slap my girlfriend's ass?"
Or it can mean to have something hard to deal with presented to you "I found seeing my girlfriend fucked by 3 black dudes deeply confronting"

Only if you're a Software Developer living in England.
The one with Snake's hair possessing homer... the scene when he pulls out Moe's heart was...

when I was a kid...

>Hell Toupée
Best fucking title ever

another spooky one
>>63473994
>>63474138
Watched this high a while ago and it was stressing me out more then modern horror movies
>>63474130
I don't get it
>>63473956
This one used to get me as a kid.
>>63473985
But THIS one legitimately used to make me change the channel until I was about 7.

>>63474264
Oh, I get it! I get jokes!
>>63473392
I dont remember the episode but if there was ever a Simpsons scene that got me it was this
>>63475297CAN'T SLEEP - CLOWN'LL EAT ME
Lisa's First Word - Season 4, episode 10
Flander's dystopia for sure
>>63475395
>You will never be reneducated
>>63473392
Damn OP, I was remembering this episode this morning while using the blender...and how scary it was the first time I saw it. It is also one of the best segments, along with Dial Z for Zombies.
But he scariest moment for me was pic related. I couldn't sleep that night.
>>63473956
Hell I forgot that moment...!
>>63474012
The fact that he was running around in the air ducts got me as a kid. I used to hear banging in the air ducts and think there was a kid running around in there spying on me.
Was it after hells cafetaria that the inside out fog creeps inside the house. Nopenopenope
>>63475890
Yeah, everything in this segment was confronting as hell
Bart Sella His Soul isn't a Tree house of Horror, but it's the scariest Simpsons episode imo.
Something about the existential dread of losing your soul, along with Homer and Marge seemingly not caring, all capped off with Bart going to desperate lengths to save his soul (to the point where he tries to take Ralph's) just hits the right notes for me.
Even the side jokes ("You sit here while daddy talks to this raving derelict" and Moe's B-story) have a weird menace to them.
The whole episode is re ally unsettling...But it's my favorite one.
Not treehouse episode but this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MQ356o5nCk
>>63476036
I can really understand where you're coming from. I could really the existential fear and desperation from Bart too.
The one where Willy was Freddy Krueger, especially the part where Martin dies of a heart attack in class
>>63473592
Yeah but the futurama episode that had a similar premise was great.
>You will never be a head surgically attached to your qt asian grilfriend.
As a kid I always found Homer3 really eerie. I guess It's the low budget 3d animation combined with the unresolved ending of homer being trapped in the real word, I always use to think it was the last episode.
>>63477330
>I always used to think it was the last episode
are you me
>>63477364
I thought I was the only one as well, turns out a couple other people thought the same as well. Pretty spooky.
>>63477330
That would have been an interesting final episode, actually.
>>63476358
This was mine.
>>63473392
The one where they turned inside out at the end
>>63477330
I always love that shot for how peace that quaint 90's street looks after Homer walks into the erotic cake shop.
I watch it today and it genuinely depresses me how different it'd probably look, now.
>>63477611
The fuck are you talking about?
We still have streets, anon, and people still walk on them without savaging each other or fucking on the concrete.
>>63477695
Maybe he's from Iraq or something.
>>63477611
I know what you mean, bruh.
>>63477695
He means the 'vibe' and 'atmosphere' of society and the larger community
maggie lost her baby legs
>>63473392
The one with Bart'sgoodtwin that they keep locked in the attic scared the fuck out of me back in the 90s. The other segments in that ep were decently scary too.
>>63477792
>He means the 'vibe' and 'atmosphere' of society and the larger community
There are a shit ton of streets that look just like that and have the same "vibe." At times, they are peaceful as well.
Shit hasn't changed that much and that fake nostalgia is just silly.
>>63477834
I bet those same streets have everybody on their cellphones and ignoring eachother, detached from the world around them. This is not the same "vibe".
>>63477855
Yes, because the street in the show had so many people interacting and people on their phones wouldn't stop to look at 3D Homer.
Or you can get out and walk down a fucking street and see that your imagination isn't reality.
>>63476036
Are you me?
I always thought a horror movie about a kid who offers to buy the souls of his classmates and the ramifications of these grade schoolers running around would be glorious terror material.
>>63477823
Me to man. I also think that it might be their greatest ever segment. Certainly my favourite.
>>63477901
With everybody being obsessed and glued to their phones, the 'vibe' and 'atmosphere' of society has changed. That is my point.
>>63477855
Oh god. It's this guy.
The Genesis Tub
Seeing Lisa get shrunk down and at Bart's mercy (while he was unaware she was shrunk to begin with) did weird things to me as a kid. Actually now thinking about it, this episode might be one of the reasons i have amicrophilia fetish.
>People scared of the Simpsons.
How fucking old are you people?
The one where Willie dies and kills people in their dreams legitimately scared the hell out of me as a kid.
>>63478121
He wasn't dead though
>>63478121
>tfw oneirophobia I had as a child
Sometimes adults don't fully realise how heavily they can affect a child's mind
>>63478121
Spooked me for years as a kid. Dream stuff is the worst for some reason.
I was never scared of treehouse of horrors but the burns alien spooped me
>>63477330
>mfw Myst was referenced
The introductions to them were the best, THE BEST
>>63473392
The original Treehouse of Horror is legit creepy and the bleeding house and The Raven genuinely scared me for years. It's as good as a top tier Twilight Zone and one of the best Halloween themed things ever put on TV.
>>63473392
Do they still do Halloween Specials ?
