I literally just finished episode 10 2 seconds ago. This is one of the best anime show things I've ever seen. It plays it just deadpan and lowkey enough for the comedy to work. Action sequences are 10/10, loveable characters. There's still hope for anime senpaitachi.

the parody is the joy of the show though, playing with the cliches we're familiar with in anime is one of the shows major strengths.

My favorite thing about OPM is seeing how mad the weebs get when a show goes mainstream, and how quick they are to call it shit when that happens.

I liked it, the action scenes were pretty damn hype, and the characters are pretty cool and well designed. The only character that I hated was that guy in the episode with the Sea King who was all like "Yeah, OPM is a load of horse radish, that ocean dude must have been pretty weak to get speckledorfed by him, ect.". But that was the obvious intent of that character, so that gives even more props to the writers for pulling that off well.
Had a fun time, would watch again.
I watched it solely for the Sea King arc and Licenceless Rider conclusion.
I loved that shit in the comics, when I found out it was being animated, I couldn't wait.
It has been treading water since then. Not bad, but never as good.

there's a lot of filler in the manga. Also, most of the manga is a 1-1 copy, but whenever murata gets the urge he goes all out and does some crazy shit, like the 12 pages of metal knight landing. It kind of fucks around the pacing
