Yoda should have warned Luke to never lose his lightsaber in front of the Emperor, because lightsabers can deflect Force Lightning. Yoda was not a very good teacher.
Also, it doesn't scar you. Sheev was always old and wrinkly and was disguising himself with the Force.
So yeah, Sith need lightsabers because the Jedi weapons block the Sith's only attack besides Force Choke. Sith should have their own weapon or something.
