Oh please. The Hunger Games tries to be so much more than what it is. It attempts at being a "superduper frigging epic" post-apocalyptic war drama, while shying away from any sort of actual violence an destruction.
The Hobbit did make fun of the original trilogy, but it sure as hell didn't attempt to.
And Avatar is just the most boring, so selfserious, bland sci-fi flick ever made.
