What is your opinion of this man?
Will he ever make a good movie again? Has he ever?
I'll admit, the first time I watched Anchorman I barely cracked a smile, upon being convinced to watch it a second time I laughed my ass off.
I still really haven't figured out why.

Anchorman and Anchorman 2 were amazing. Also Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, Old School, Semi-Pro...
Stranger Than Fiction was also good, but it's not necessarily because of him.

Yea Anchorman was very funny when I first saw it. Anchorman 2 was absolute garbage though.
Ashley Schaeffer BMW/KIA were highly memorable. have not otherwise loved Ferrell.
Anchorman was one of the best comedies of the 2000's. Liked him in Old School too. Don't really care for the others
I give him credit for not playing it safe. Most of the time he's not funny, but when he is he's fucking hilarious.
Land of the Lost.
I loved the Lego movie.

I find him to be consistently enjoyable at least.
Sometimes he's on, sometimes he's off
But it's always enjoyable, at least on some level.
He was great in Last Man On Earth
Anchorman and Zoolander are both great
Elf is a pretty solid Christmas movie

I thought both anchormans were overrated shite. Steve carrell had some moments in the first but they just kind of ruined him the second and forced kristen wiig too hard. The inly decent part in the second one was seeing all the cameos during the battle scene
He has this default "generic funny man" screen persona that doesn't vary much in a lot of movies, although I find him way funnier when he's not doing that. I suspect its more an issue of typecasting than lack of range though.

Step Brothers is epic! Everything else garbage. Oh wait Get Hard is good.
