Started watching this last week because of all the hype here. Season 1 and season 2, great! Season 3, fell of a cliff. Utter garbage. Rarely smiled, let alone laughed.

Come on. The fat guy riding on horseback with weather balloons reducing his weight, and the antique store sumo-suit thing were some of the best bits he's ever done
This show gains appeal by making people assume the people involved aren't in on the joke. Sure there are a couple of genuine reactions here and there, but once you realize it's pretty much as scripted as reality TV then you get over it.
Nathans awkwardness is worth a laugh here and there, but overall the show is completely overrated.

Okay, there were some cool parts. Sex box, The Movement, and Electronics Store were good. But there was a lot of shit too, like the Nail Salon, or the Travel Agent. The Antique Shop wasn't funny, it's just that the brother made it funny with the part about fucking girls together.

the point of the show is how far people will go because they are in front of a camera. they dont want to look bad, or they want to be famous (the bachelor episode) so they will do literally anything nathan asks of them because they are on tv. the moving fitness one is another great example of this. its why nathan loves the PI guy so much. hes just a prick and does everything nathan doesnt want him to do. thats why when he caught him talking about his porn background he had a field day with it. i really wished he tried to convince him to be in the porno where the kid was in the room though.

I feel like this thread has given me a true breakthrough because this is truly /reddit/ the show because everyone on that website is obsessed with this show.
but also, it is a great show, and contains an equal amount of liberal/conservative values that can appeal to anyone on 4chan, especially because of its irreverent humor and (sometimes) great writing
reddit is a terrible website, but in a sense so is 4chan because we created those Scientology faggots that made 4chan look like a bunch of Guy Fawkes wearing autists four or five years ago.
/tv/ is my favorite board on 4chan, but it has an unfortunate overlap with reddit. I'm just (very) drunk and am realizing that this great board has more of a relation to reddit than any of us would like to admit, what's important is that we continue to remain extremely hostile to each other to keep our faggot asses in check

I think 4chan is where people like to reflect and bask in nerdrage then add to it at the same time.
