Why is the Canadian government so successful at producing this kind of feel?

They make pretty good cartoons as well.
There was a late-night show on Cartoon Network back in the day called O' Canada, and most (maybe all) of the shorts were from the National Canadian film board
I grew up on the Saskatchewan/Alberta prairies. Watching me does not make me feel comfy, it only brings back memories of crushing boredom and waiting to do better shit with my life. Just an utterly stagnant and dead area of this world

Yes, not from Alberta but there are plenty of farms in Rural Ontario that use ~50 year old (renovated) silos
