So yeah. That's the book. I did a shitty job as summarizing it. But it was horrible with asspulls everywhere.

Honestly the one flaw with Advent Children that changed the whole movie was the music during the final battle with Sepiroth
The lead composer said that he wanted to do something different by mixing rock with classical but it ended up sounding totally inappropriate for that entire climactic fight scene. It totally killed the mood of the entire thing.
Just go back and watch a preview trailer where they have appropriately climactic music and the whole thing looks awesomely intense.....biut nope, wah, wah, light hearted guitar synth pop that totally didn't match anything that was going on in the scene is what we got in the final cut.
