I watched an episode of the first season a couple months ago and it was total crap
3rd generation is best generation to be honest
recently started watching it again and I forgot how bad it was
the acting is dogshit and the quality of some of the sets are like something you'd see in a year 3 nativity play

1st generation was awesome so was the 2nd. Didn't bother to finish the third, it was getting very stereotypical. Stereotypical rich girl, stereotypical metalhead, stereotypical couple etc etc...
It's really really hard to choose whats the best generations, the first one you got Cassie and Sid, but on the second generation you got Cook. It's really hard.

But not as pleb as people who enjoyed third gen.
First gen was my favourite, second series was fairly meh at times though. I liked series 3, felt like they ran out of ideas by 4 though.

Skins is a more significant part of my adolescence than I want it to be. Not because it's an accurate reflection of teenage life, but everyone I knew wanted to be like Cook and Effy, nothing fun or exciting could happen without someone saying it was just like off of skins. It feels like my generation's teenage years were just a collective attempt to re-enact Skins.

i think that what 1st gen got right is the fact that when the story started, the gang were already a cohesive group, and with the next 2 gens, they had to start from 0, therefore there wasnt sucha good chemistry
