The princess angle not so much. However the two lovers that put thier duty before their own self interests definitely holds up.
>>63384965
I like to watch rom coms and when they get to the tense part just wait untill it just starts to get funny again and then turn it off so I don't have to know hows it was resolved.

anime does it best desu senpai
Pretty comfy
I have a guilty soft spot for "A Lot Like Love". I thought it was nice because it wasn't "lonely person meets crazy person who completely turns their life around", it was more about two people with good chemistry and bad timing.
Also, Amanda Peet pulls a pretty great pratt fall.
>>63385074
You must be me
>>63386250
Nothing comedic about 'the notebook' anon
In fact I hate it
>The Notebook - A reminder that no matter how hard fought and pure your love, even when preordained by destiny, you will eventually grow old, ugly, senile and die.

this is the most patrician answer
>>63387915
Went to the theater when I was 7, cried like a bitch when I thought SRK actually died. But in all honesty, it's one of the better big budget bollywood romcoms, great pace, cinematography and writing, Saif Ali Khan's comic timing was insanely good in this. I think Dil Chahta Hai and ZNMD were similarly great in terms of having a modern urban setting as well

Agreed on Crazy Stupid LoveThat twist tho, for what purpose
>>63388038
Starfish are no joke. I have a few that are "dried out" and they're as sharp as coral. Literally giant aquatic shurikens.
Modern rom-coms are garbage compared to the ones from the Golden Age
My Sassy Girl
Annie Hall
500 Days of Summer
>>63388197

I don't have one because I don't watch pleb tier trash.
Sorry.
Matthew Mchaunhy is too charming not to love. Not going to check spelling on his name.
>>63389846
The only good part of Love Actually was the bromance between Bill Nighy and his manager. The rest of it was the text book definition of "meh".
You've Got Mail was comfy and adorable, though.
>>63390086
Matthew McCaughna-heeeeeey how you doin'
>>63389846
Love Actually is terrible, I will never ever understand why so many people like it even as a guilty pleasure.
You've Got Mail is very good though
Not my favorite, but I really like this one as as well. I have been watching a bunch of Gerard Butler movies and got to say he did a good job in this one.
Does this count? I don't watch a lot of 'romantic' movies
Not gonna lie half expected for the asteroid to be fake or entirely missing the planet by a few inches

>>63390965
Literally the greatest rom-com ever made, period.
>>63390906
>Arsenic and Old Lace
>It just isn't funny
SACRILEGE
But excellent choice in His Girl Friday so I respect your opinion
Anyone have something Asian worth watching?
For some reason I've always found their style of romance to be more charming. Guess it's the focus more on purity and fantasy.
>>63391035
>SACRILEGE
I think it may need a rewatch on my part, haven't seen it some time. I just remember it being very underwhelming.
>>63391190
I don't know anything about Asian style romance but I heard good things about pic related
>>63391190
absolutely adore this film
I don't know if Tin Cup counts but Tin Cup
>>63391287

>>63384965
When I was in middle school, I asked this girl that was way out of my league to go out with me to see this movie and she said yes. Then one of my friends hacked my Facebook and sent her (and a bunch of others) a lot of gay porn and some BLACKED stuff. Then I became a social outcast with no friends and now I post on an anonymous Tibetan color book swapping board. Fuck you Gabe, and fuck this movie.
>>63392217
>you were in middle school when that came out
holy fuck this board I swear
>>63392234
