At second watch I liked this episode, but I'm still dissapointed with Clara involvement. She had nice ending. With flying off for some adventures and dying. (I hope they won't bring her back, I hate 'spin-off' type characters).
But I'm really dissapointed that brilliant Heaven Sent was now another episode dedicated to HOW CLARA IS SUPER SPECIAL AND I WILL DO SOOOOO MUCH TO SAVE HER. I really liked the episode, good conclusion for Clara and nice throwbacks to older episodes. Some cringy moments like the "all men are egotistic fags even though I was one 3 seconds ago and I was also a pretty good character" and Lady Meme still being unable to act, however, it was pretty good.
Heaven Sent was better though, but no one expected Moffat to being able to stay on the same quality level.

Yes, it got a nice boost from having the young men in there for their years after Eccleston left, but now that we're back to an old man again ratings have diminished.
It shows overall that I just don't think Doctor Who was meant to be a show about a handsome, or at least charismatic young man taking girls on the trip of a life time, because that's now all they want.
Granted young Doctors weren't a new thing before Tennant, but there was a definite "appeal" that he brought that the show never really possessed before which resonated with women. Even McGann didn't really have this appeal because he was a bit too classical and romantic for modern girls.

Although aside from all that? Not many problems with the series finale. It wasn't as big and huge as the others, but hey, the last big and huge ending we had was Death In Heaven, and that was a sack of shit, whereas this episode was more grounded and more about just wrapping up a companion story. Which begs the question as to why that needs Gallifrey?

Also, I think it might be just cause the existence of Clara, and the fact I know she will die has caused me to relax, but her having her own TARDIS... Actually no, I still don't like that. Not cause it's her, I wouldn't like the idea of ANY companion getting their own TARDIS, save for Susan or Romana, and that's cause they're fucking Time Ladies, that's allowed for them. The whole idea of a companion leaving is surely that they have to sacrifice all the joys and wonders of time and space, or choose to as they have become better people (Or sometimes The Doctor leaves them in Aberdeen and just goes. lol.) But if anything, Clara having a TARDIS shows that she's not progressed as a character, she never will progress as a character, and ultimately, she is a shallow as fuck character, as she has literally nothing but The Doctor and the TARDIS. It's another link in the chain of her being a special fucking snowflake. And before someone brings up the Bad Wolf thing with Rose, or the Doctor-Donna thing, with Rose, she ended up fucked by the end of her storyline (She got the Human Ten, but he probably died) and Donna forgot everything to stop her from dying, with Clara, the Doctor forgot her, and that was sad for her, but bitch got a TARDIS.

I don't feel that any companion leaving should be that good, you're leaving a life of adventure and wonder, of course leaving will suck. I think the best it should get is when Martha left, i.e. she left for her own reasons, as she felt she was done with the journey, with Clara? Let's face it, she basically has lost nothing. Eventually she still has to die, but until she actually goes to that point, she is alive forever, doing anything she wants. What makes her so special that she gets her own TARDIS? Nothing, it's clearly just Moffat trying to make her this ultimate special snowflake, fucking with lore and the Doctor's history to make all of this happen. The only thing I'm truly thankful of is the fact that she is gone, and probably will be gone for a long time. Gallifrey wasted, Rassilon treated like nothing, and Clara's ending was just a case of sunshine and fucking rainbows because no bad things are ever allowed to happen to the messiah. Time will tell on the episode, but if they don't have series 10 be all about Rassilon having a full-on hate crusade against The Doctor and all those who betrayed him, gonna be mad.
