MIdnight in Paris is the most pleb trying to masquerade as patrician film ever made. I want to hate it so much, but I cannot. I love it.
I love the stupid plot, the hamfisted message, the nice score, the historical figures, the way Owen WIlson simultaneously plays himself, but he's also doing a spot-on Woody Allen.
7/10 would comfy

>MIdnight in Paris is the most pleb trying to masquerade as patrician film ever made. I want to hate it so much, but I cannot. I love it.
Yep, pretty much
Just like he tries to lazily hamfist Nietzsche into a rom com in Magic in the Moonlight, and in the end you can't help but like the movie. It's heart warming, fun, beatifully shot, beautifully scored, a really nice movie.
