I thought Seven Psychopaths was better than In Bruges. Anybody agree?
Loved it the first time around when I saw it in the theater. Was more lukewarm towards it the second time around. I don't know what it is, but it ain't as rewatchable or comfy as In Bruges.
Tried too hard to be meta and clever, proper disappointment after IB

no
It had potential but ultimately ended in mediocrity. In Bruges was well written til the end.
I enjoyed it, but think In Bruges is better.

Wasn't the whole underlying commentary of this film about McDonagh making peace with the fact that he'll never surpass In Bruges?
Walken is magical in Seven Psychopaths
In Bruges was better, but I loved this too and all his brother's stuff as well.

NO SHOOTOUT?
I also only now realize Jimmy Darmody and Rothstein were in the movie as well
It lost me completely once the author's self-insert character popped up, struggling with how he'd top his previous success.
