Simple question:

Since the fifth-dimensional beings in Interstellar were evolved far past our 3D senses, what was the Tesseract made of?

Iron? Aluminum? Copper? Nickel? What would be the best material to construct such a device to travel back in time....?

Of all the questions you could ask about the mess that is Interstellar, you chose this one?

I genuinely liked this movie till exactly this part.

It was just so fucking contrived and silly, really wish they kept it more grounded and have the last part be filled with emotional gut punches like the first two-thirds of the movie did.

Well.... yes...

Most of the other stuff could be explained with basic science (except for the wormhole near saturn), but even that had some plausibility.

But Coop literally drifting through a black hole and not getting spaghetti-fied makes no sense.

The aliens obviously built some device to prevent him from being killed when entering the black hole, and I want to hear theories on how they did it..

you do realize you're a believer in never to be proven big bangs that magical appeared from nowhere within the nothingness that was bringing with it space time, you do realize this, yeah?

Obviously you've never engaged in a conversation with a fifth-dimensional being. before you do anything you first have to engage them in a series of whys and wherefores questions that begins with existential equations on life substances from the mind set of a highly evolved mullusk that's ignorant to all numbers except for 5, 6 and 7
>>
>>63328164
That's why they set off to find new planets and chose Wolf Edmunds planet to recolonize humanity.

The entire ending portion is fucking stupid. It's a vastly overrated flick with bullshit "hurrr durr love" crap that is just plain stupid. Anne Hathaway was the wrong god damn choice for that character and she dragged down every scene she was in.

Murph, murph, murph, murph, murph, murph, murph, murph, murph, murph, murph...

Its a fifth dimensional material we can hardly comprehend.

it's more like,

>atheist believes in an event that brought upon a series of actualities that ushered in our eventuality.

All of which cannot be and will never be, proven. never ever never no matter however---proven.

a singularity arriving without provocation bringing with it several universal masses yet existing in space near infinitesimally smaller than the atom. That arrived from nowhere into nothingness and suddenly expanded trillions upon trillions upon trillions of times faster than the smallest fraction of a second.

Make believe, conjecture, bullshit.
>>
>>63328235
They were on their way to Wolf Edmunds they didn't live in the cylinders for 60 years they had to plan an entire exodus of the remaining human race. Humanity had dwindled because of the blight and the wars referenced early on in the movie.

the amount of bullshit you atheist believes in astounds me anon.
you believe that the most complicated program, i.e., human DNA self created, even though our DNA is far more complicated, puproseful and well constructed than Windows 10---a program that took decades to get to, billions in cost from pre production to production etc, and thousands of trained professionals and lots of modern contrivances to create.

and yet you'd have us believe that a singularity self created then went on to make the First DNA all by itself.

You'd have us believe that random bumping of amino acid molecules made proteins and then finally DNA which made a billion different life forms?

You can't show fish becoming animals and us over an unbreakable chain of the entirety of any of the thousands if not millions of species that existed before us over the billion years of our evolution.

Show genetic and skeletal proof of a fish becoming a land breather then onward to rodent, monkey and man with the skeletal proof of each species becoming less the former and more the latter and so on and so forth unto man and modern creatures.

all you've ever had was lies, conjecture make believe hypothesis, Theory.

I think in the movie they made the situation seem more drastic than it actually was.

OK, sure, maybe corn and wheat were going extinct, but there's still plenty of fish, barley, beans, fish, fish, fish, pigs that can live on barley and reconstituted pig remains, cows that live on barley and reconstituted pig remains, not to mentions all the other unconventional shit like roots, grubs, wild plants, and water-environment creatures such as crabs, lobster, fish, fish, fish, fucking fish, crawdaddies, shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops, oysters, fish, fish, fish, fish, octopus and fucking fish....

>drifting through a black hole and not getting spaghetti-fied makes no sense

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghettification
"The point at which tidal forces destroy an object or kill a person will depend on the black hole's size. For a supermassive black hole, such as those found at a galaxy's center, this point lies within the event horizon, so an astronaut may cross the event horizon without noticing any squashing and pulling, although it remains only a matter of time, as once inside an event horizon, falling towards the center is inevitable"

They were hanging around saturn because they were about to enter the wormhole.
Coop left early because he wanted to get back to Brand who thought he was dead.

not until you give us, testable observable proof of an amino acid self creating then making Protein and finallyDNA, then show us every species of man from one monster to its successor...both genetic proof and skeletal proof of one creature becoming another.

and don't get me started on the magical singularity that arrived from nowhere without PROVOCATION.

AREN'T YOU SCARED SHITLESS? IF THE FIRST singularity arrived without provocation, what's preventing another one and another one and another one, and another one, and show us observable testable proof as to why you believe as you do.

Not necessarily. Why does it need to be a being? We have no knowledge of anything beyond our universe.

>>63328827
>SHOW, TESTABLE, OBSERVABLE PROOF, of fish A, becoming fish B and onward unto fish on land

If you're willing to accept that there will almost always be gaps in the fossil record, it would probably be trivial to provide proof of the transition of one fish to another.

One way of looking at how fish came unto land (and back into the water) is by examining the changes in bone structure and swimming pattern. Fish generally swim side to side. Their spine swivels on a horizontal axis (more or less). This is why, if you examine the movement of reptiles (like an alligator) their movement is very similar in this regard. The spine is accustomed to moving that way.

As the ancestors of fish became more used to the land, the ability to breathe water was no longer necessary, and the "side-to-side" motion of the spine became less important. Any mammals for whom their environment became more water based, swimming became a more important part. Their legs slowly evolved back into fins, their skin became smoother, and so on. This is the reason that dolphins and other marine mammals swim up and down, because their fins used to be legs, and the side-to-side swimming motion didn't make any sense for them. It's also why they breathe air, as opposed to having gills.

Dust and love.

Didn't you watch the movie?
>>

>50% of every scene is on planets

>5% actually going interstellar
>15% forced tear jerker scenes
>>
>>63329058
I'm assuming you're religious, you know the burden of proof is on you since you're the one making the claim outside of natural occurences?
>>
>>63329520
>the burden of proof is on you

In regards to evolution, the burden is proof isn't actually on the people who refuse to believe it. The problem is, they refuse to believe it even though the proof is there. Although the creation of the very first organism could technically be put in the "I don't know" category because it hasn't been replicated.

>>63329058

As for a new big bang happening. Am I scared? Not really. It COULD happen at anytime, maybe, but the universe has been here for billions of years. The probability of it happening in our lifetime is incredibly small, and even if it does happen, we won't know it. We'll just be gone. Not worth worrying about, like death. Your body COULD technically shut down at any time. Just stop working, boom. But it probably won't.
>>
>>63328858
>>63327990
It has been explicitly stated by Kip Thorne and Nolan that the reason they made the black hole so ridiculously huge was precisely because it meant the physics would work differently and the spaghettification would not occur. The tesseract is places inside the black hole but before the event horizon. If you watch the sequence after the Ranger breaks up in pitch blackness again you'll see he's whisked *sidewards* and over to the tesseract, which he then falls into. Case closed. The movie's far from perfect but this is not one of its problems.
>>
>>63328164
>>63328442
The blight was a two-forked problem. The common folk all knew it as an asshole organism that was spreading from crop to crop, destroying their food sources, but in the lab scenes in NASA they state that the blight is now multiplying at such a rate that it has reached a tipping point and is exponentially sucking all the oxygen out of the atmosphere, meaning that all life would suffocate if they stayed there.
>>

>inside the black hole but before the event horizon

What?

Anyway, you may have got things mixed up, but I think I see what you're saying.

It was made from gravity, space and love.

Seriously, I have no clue and the movie would've been better if we never find out who "they" were. That's what Kubrick knew when he made 2001.
