what movie made you genuinely uncomfortable? doesn't have to be horror, just any film or scene of any film that gave you that sinking, sickening feeling.

the scene in The Hunt where the protaganist goes to church while the childrens choir is present, for me

From Beyond made me wince more than i should have.

Tideland made me very uncomfortable in answer to your question. I was a huge Gilliam fan, saw it at the video store completely blind.

Kubrick didn't call it the scariest movie he ever saw for nothing. I mean it's not scary like in spoopy terms, but how realistic is the potrayal of the serial killer

It wasn't a fantasy movie, the cover is really misleading too.

Holy shit this.

It's about as misleading as the DVD cover of Mazes and Monsters. The tagline isn't exactly inaccurate, but it's really going for "this is a fantasy movie".

I never thought I'd ever actually like a movie involving LARPing.
>>
>>63327012
My library does DVD rentals too. Shit's cash; they don't charge shit.

I'll add Would You Rather to my backlog. The razor to the eye looked interesting, but I'd always skim by it.

I can't remember the name of the film, but it's your average thriller, the thing is I saw it when I was way too young (much like many people saw Watership Down too early). It's about Jack Nicholson trying to find a killer who targets little girls in the mountains. He then falls in love with the mother of a young girl, and then try to use the girl as bait to find the killer since he's obsessed with finding the murderer. You never find out who the killer is. The movie stayed with me for weeks and I had trouble sleeping a long time

I'm not sure if this exactly qualifies, but if any movie has ever made me feel uncomfortable was The Fly (1986 remake). I was probably 5 when I first saw it. It came on the tv, and I can't really remember much of the movie, but one thing burned into my mind was watching Jeff Goldblum slowly turn into "Brundlefly." I wanted to leave so bad, but my dad wanted me to watch it with him. He did this with a lot of action or comedy movies, so I was expecting to laugh/see chase scenes, all that shit. I was trying to tough it out, but I couldn't take it when Goldblum went full transformation. I think I might have just ran to my room and tried watching tv, but I couldn't shake the thought of something looking like that. All I remember after that was waking up and going to eat dinner. I had nightmares for what seemed like months, but after a while I shook it off, though it still kind of hung around in the back of my mind. We haven't talked about it since, and I still get headaches just thinking about that fucking movie.

>>
>>63327573
Yes the bait worked, the killer is driving toward the meeting place where the girl waits, but his car crashes and he dies. Jack Nicholson goes insane and the mother leaves him, the last scene is him sitting outside a gas station in the mountains muttering about clues and shit
>>
>>63327275

haha same - watched it after all the praise it got here. The realism of the family at the dinner table is what did it for me. You can see the subtle moral conflict in the dads eye's before he gives in to brutality. It's quick - maybe a frame or two. But he's struck with "should I destroy something so pretty"
>>

The first two August Underground movies. I felt like shit while watching those, and decided to not bother with the third.

It's X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

Brett Rattner directed that movie, so after that scene it was all downhill.
>>

No, that's not it.

>There are supposedly other exploitation films like that which feature much more extensive animal cruelty, but I haven't watched any.
This is what I hate. I want to watch some of these films, but knowing that there's animal cruelty in them (even if staged) is a complete deterrent.

I'm curious what the NC-17 cut would of looked like

I just watched Manhunter last night, and the beginning was fucking creepy. Him just watching the wife toss and turn in her bed while flashing a light on her. And cutting just as she woke to see a stranger standing there with a gun.

Terrifying stuff. I recognized Francis Dolarhyde as the guy from House of the Devil after about 15 seconds. Fuck he's a good actor.

Yes that is it

here's the scene in some lame ass music video, it only lasts a few seconds

Not
It.

I am the original poster and this is the exact scene that I recall

Locked in the bathroom trying to cut his wings off, it's at 21 seconds

Candyman is a movie that still manages to disturb the fuck out of me

Also some of the Hellraiser stuff. Just so relentlessly bleak and sadistic plus them practical effects

Looking to watch this movie, how entertaining is it?

I gave Under The Skin a shot which turned out to be quite boring and full of ambiguity, how does it compare in terms of 2deep4u?
>>
>>63333142
Fuck you.
>>
>>63333197
its good .. nothing like under the skin
>>
>>63332052
I can see why, the movie is just so fucking depressing, made me hate my life even more so for a couple of days.
>>
>>63333197
not boring at all. It's a straight forward engaging plot. The only boring part is a relationship subplot between the main characters, nothing else.
>>
>>63332328
Epic Movie?

Men behind the sun

Probably the most disturbing thing I've ever watched.

A fucking cat gets killed, actually killed on film.

It was made in the 70s I think, it's basically about Unit 731 and all the disturbing atrocities and tortures that the Japanese did to those poor Chinese people.

It's incredibly disturbing due to the fact that this actually happened.

oh, shit, was just going to post this. I think some might think that the fx in it are campy but something about knowing it's based on true events hits me in lots of bad places. And, honestly, some of the effects are so sickening... oh god, and those subplots... and the dehuminization... seriously fucked up movie.

The Chinese had a right to be pissed the fuck off and they spray it all over the fucking screen.

Idk about you but I watched it pretty young and it really fucked me up. I kept thinking about that scene where that guy was put in a pressure chamber and that woman when they poured hot water on her after having the limbs frozen.

Maybe I'm a pussy but I cried to that :(

The ballroom scene from Labyrinth gives me the willies. Those masks are just creepy as shit to me.

Watching the documentary they made about the serial killer who lived in that house and then watching the movie. Goddamn that was so good.

YES, THOSE TWO SCENES CANNOT BE UNSEEN.

>Mous stated that the cat was tired after participation in the film and the cat got two fish as a reward, that the cat was made wet with honey, and that the rats were licking and eating the honey only.

Bullshit

Director trying to save face
>>
>>63334415
The cat was covered in colored honey and then thrown into the rat pit, where the rats simply licked the honey off the cat. If one has the stomach to look closely at the scene, you'll see that the rats never bite the cat, the blood has the consistency and color of dyed honey, the cat never develops any realistic looking flesh wounds and the cat never fully stops moving.

I found the cursed video from Ringu deeply unsettling, yet found the rest of the film kind of bland. Antichrist is the cursed video from Ringu extended into a fucking feature.
