hopefully soon, and its honestly not a 'black; thing. black comedians are certainly funny, but first of all, the daily show should be hosted by an american comedian. the tone, with the accent just comes off all wrong. its comedy central dropped the ball and i dont even want to get used to this guy.
wilmore is likable but the writers suck and the constant race centric topics that dominate the show are tiring. im not saying theyre issues that shouldnt be addressed but its just the wrong venue, especially being born from a show as mainstram as colbert. im not sure whats wrong with comedy central as there is truly a comedy renaissance happening, but whoever does capitalize on it is going to make a mint.

Wilmore is about tolerable on his own, but that doesn't really help him. I don't think he's particularly funny, and he doesn't have a personality trait that makes the show stand out. Combined with the overbearingly progressive-liberal diatribe of his show and the constant racial angling, it turns an otherwise tolerable, inoffensive personality into a browbeat and a bore.
Also, the 22-24 functional minutes of actual show runtime is not nearly enough to run a panel. Having a panel confined to less than 15 minutes of show time is confining already.
Beyond that, the panel members are almost always either blatantly for or at least not definitively against the subject. It makes it a boring echo chamber.
There is no way to turn it around. Nightly Show is dead in the water. It's really just a matter of when they decide to finally let it go. And they can't let it happen too quickly, because they're scared shitless that there'll be accusations of it being because he was black. My bet is spring 2016. I'd be surprised if it lasted into summer.
