Occupy was about a simple fact...
Bankers that almost collapsed the world economy (and believe me if the US economy fails the whole world follows) still have not been held accountable...no heads rolled (literal or figurative). Instead their mistakes were covered up with taxpayer money and they are now more powerful than ever.
This is a legitimate greivance. It was against the very powers that be and an opportunity to enlighten normies everywhere to the fact that the world is controlled by a very small club instead of the shining republic they are taught to believe.
The media on both sides denied Occupy's existence for weeks until they arrived at consensus (or received orders) to berate and belittle them into the ground and it eventually worked.
Instead of listening or learning from the Occupy Movement the People of the US stuck their heads in the ground and try their best to forget about it. The Republicans were told to dismiss it as hippy nonsense which is easy to do as that's all they were portrayed as on TV. The Democrats are slightly more enlightened but completely unmotivated to do anything about it so they just smoked more weed and played their video games.
Black Lives Matter is just an ignorant parody of Occupy.

Can anyone explain to me how celebrating a big, stupid thug like Michael Brown (with footage of him clearly robbing a convenience store and then attacking a cop in a car) is not somehow an insult to the memory of Martin Luther King.
