Alright senpai so I have a question:
Christmas (as we know it) is a result of Catholicism which sprung up in Europe as a product of the blending of the Roman religion already present in the area and Christianity moving in. While missionaries were converting people it eased the transition of religions to merely swap out the old pagan holidays with the new Christian ones. Christmas was traditionaly Saturnalia (spelling???) celevrsting the god of lead (Saturn) which is where the gift giving aspect comes from. then ol st nick was added much later.
So my question, gentlemen, is do Christians who practice the religion in its form that arose independently of Catholicism (i.e. excluding catholics and protestants) practice a Christmas celebration and of they do is it much different?
