Just watched Downfall last night. Really blew me away and got me re-interested in WWII.
What are some essential World War II films? Language is irrelevant.
Generation War was great.
Tora Tora Tora and A Bridge Too Far are some classics

Am I only one who saw this as more of a dark comedy than a war film?
My brain must be broken, because it was fucking hilarious.
>>63299286
woops, that's a miniseries, didn't read too much into the OP
Read a book faggot.

I wish /pol/ would follow Magda Goebbels' example more often. They will never live in National-Socialism, so why live?
>>63299267
The Longest Day and Bridge on the River Kwai are pretty great.

hitler was a funny little man
>>63299316
I don't feel bad for the higher up Nazis, but the kids didn't chose to be raised by /pol/tards. Or the dad who gets hanged by the fat fascist at the end.

The holocaust didn't happen.
>>63299267
Escape to Victory is probably the most accurate.
>>63300217
not the way the jews say at least.
Anything that explores the front, the government, and the civilians? That's kind of why I liked Downfall so much. I thought it would be almost entirely following Hitler but a lot of time was spent with his Generals and Lieutenants and some time with the actual fighting in Berlin.
>>63299286
Miniseries are fine too.
>>63300217
>there are people so deluded that they actually think this
I find this hilarious. People whine about the numbers not adding up, so they claim the entire thing is false instead of assuming the next logical thing: that the jews exaggerated everything. The holocaust is too elaborate to be something that is completely false.
Max, hitler in artschool 2002 version
not 2015 about a fucking dog
>>63299286
The first segment was great, but it went downhill after that.
>>63299316
I guess I can see how you could approach it that way.
>>63299267
Movies that trigger /pol/
>>63299267
Diplomacy was pretty great if low key, mostly two actors in a room.
>>63300386
This one fits that mold.
