>Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth.

More weird ones to my list since I'm thinking of it
-Ending of the wire (Bubs getting to eat with his sister )
-Ending of LOST (I saw the final episode before watching the rest of the show and it made me cry just from that for some reason, yes I realize that is pathetic, then I watched the series and it got me again)
-Shut up and play the hits (LCD Soundsystem's final concert shown in a movie)

>>63298064
I think it's subjective.
Stuff that actually gets me isn't always sad.
A Little Princess has one or two scenes. But that was a long time ago. Probably wouldn't affect me anymore.
Boromir's death actually works. The whole part at the end of Return of the King where he is crowned, and sings a bit. It's not sad in the story, really, but bittersweet still. Because the true glory and beauty of the past in that world is still gone forever.
I think often bittersweet actually works in movies and books for me, where pure sad usually just washes off me. Boo hoo, bah humbug.

You don't see this motherfucker cry once in the movie before this part. He stays strong every other time. When Bubba dies, the multiple times Jenny treated him like shit, when his mom died, he doesn't cry during any of that. And then this part comes, and thats what gets me.

Threadly reminder CIA got a "secret CIA file" on his character as marketing for the movie.
He is called Slade. Slade Wilson. YES.
CIA is Nolan's version of Deathstroke.
The plane sequence is the beginning of his story, as the plane crashes with one survivor, CIA, that loses an eye.
This is the beginning of Deathstroke, an expert assassin.
Look it up, I'm not making this up.

Bing Bong was created to depict forgetfulness - an important part of growth. Yes, the characters do venture into Memory Dump and explore forgotten memories but seeing Bing Bong fade do makes the viewer deeply think about memories they've forgotten. If movies are seen to experience something then that part of Inside Out surely delivered it.

The one part in the book that I wish made it into this movie was where they're smuggling Coffey out of the prison to cure the warden's wife, and he looks at the electric chair and says
>"They’re still in there. Pieces of them, still in there. I hear them screaming."
It's not really sad as such, but fuck, it threw me for a loop.

Wolf children was shallow as fuck, it focused mainly on how cute the kids are over everything else.
Satoshi Kon movies are the GOAT anime movies for emotions
