I smile like that. Mainly because my face is fucked up so I'm smiling but it looks like a smirk so everyone thinks I'm an arrogant prick when I'm actually a nice guy.

Feel sorry for the guy. He honestly wants to redeem himself for capeshit after Dare Devil but the trailer might had ruined his chance.

This
BASED BALE
*unzips dubs*
I don't see Batman or Bruce Wayne, I just see Ben Affleck. It's distracting. It feels like an SNL sketch.

Agreed. He will legit be the best.
>>63295124
and you didn't see Bale?
Ben has earned a lot of respect as both an actor and director over the past several years. I, and many others, no longer see him as "pretty boy affleck", flavor of the month douchebag. I actually think he's pretty well suited to this role.
Affleck is one of the few things I like about this movie.
I think Bale made a more convincing Bruce Wayne, but I like Affleck more as Batman (so far)
Ben Affleck was awful in Gone Girl like painfully bad.
You just know this is an authentic Batman by his obsession with the Joker.

The character in the book was pretty shitty though.
>>63294872
Dammit I have to admit he does have the more prototypical Batman build. He could pull it off.
>>63295884
actually he nails the character perfectly
but i dont think it was because he's a good actor

Affleck is better than Bale as both Bruce Wayne and Batman.
He's going to be pretty extreme though, they've taken a lot of cues from Frank Miller's Batman. This Affleck Batman is extremely cynical and edgy, a real four cunt from what I've seen between him and Alfred. He also rakes up quite the body count in the beginning of the film. Certain fanboys are going to despise that I'm sure and cry "b-but muh one rule".
I'm really surprised with what Affleck has done and this is coming from someone that laughed when he was announced in the role. He's got my respect. I don't know if this movie is going to be any good, but he certainly will stand out, he gave it his all out of the love for the character. I'm really looking forward to his solo Batman movie that he's directing.
>>63294872
I agree but what's the point if he's going to be in a shitty movie?

>Certain fanboys are going to despise that I'm sure and cry "b-but muh one rule".
you mean people who don't read the comics?

I could be wrong on this, but didn't Batman originally shoot and kill people? He was a more pulpy detective hero before the Comics Code Authority made them dial that shit down?
I don't get why that's still there in 2015. There's nothing inherently immoral about killing people. Murder, maybe, but murder is a specific crime. If someone is going to drop a schoolbus full of kids off a bridge? Damn right it's Lawful/Neutral Good to stop them by putting a bullet in their head.

This is an attitude that goes back further than fedoras.
I am a non-Redditor Christian so even I realize "thou shalt not kill" is a gross simplification. Of course you can kill, you just can't murder (the crime) so that it results in bloodguilt. You're allowed to join an army or kill someone about to do something far more horrible.
It was just censorship in the 20th-century because they didn't want kids reading comics about good guys killing people. For some reason that became unfashionable.
i honestly don't care, i always thought affleck will do a good job to much on the line, but for me bale is the literal goat

He's right, though. Morality is arbitrary. It's built entirely upon a balance of profit and loss.
