Parents are extreme conservative Christians, will not watch any films with nudity/over age 15 certificate. Step dad has learning difficulties but watches 'spooks' and 24. Although sady he does believe every film ever made was made solely for money, and refuses to believe people create things for any other reason.
My mother is too depressed to watch films. She used to like rom coms but hit a breaking point of just how many successful handsome people one can see before starting to hate their own life. Hasn't been to a cinema to a film she wants to see in over 30 years.
My 22 year old brother who does labouring for a living doesn't like films that aren't comedies. Upon seeing Truman Show he said he liked it but would rather have seen a comedy. Then (while annoyed to the point of delirium) I put on 15 minutes of Paths of Glory, during which he played facebook videos loudly from his phone while looking at me like I'm a weird bastard.
