they made a US pilot in 2005 with Leonard from Big Bang as Mark. The casting honest wasn't too bad but the execution was terrible (no POV) was made kind of generic. Could have been alright though.

I feel like they're really pushing Mark's insanity too fast this series to justify a ridiculous ending.
Pretty funny though, just not as good as itmused to be.
The show was at its best when Olivia Colman was in it. After she left it started to decline. Even the jokes were much more tame.
