Godfather was shitty crime-glorifying movie with plot on a level of JRPG stupidity. It only got positive reviews because it was one of the first movies after hays code got uplifted and retarded reviewers thought if it was forbidden it must be good. Some of the scenes like that exploding woman in car are so badly paced and shot they are actually hilarious. Apocalypse now is a great movie about war, when war are fought by italians, that's it. I disagree. If you pay attention, one of the major focal points of The Godfather is that the crime Vito engages in is the malum prohibitum type—crime that's crime just because it's outlawed (gambling, prostitution)—and he refuses to go into inherently bad or dangerous crime like drug trafficking.
One of the major issues of the movie is that Vito outright rejects Sollozzo's business (heroin) deal whereas Sonny sees no problem with it and is interested in at least hearing more details.
