He's referred to the current year and asked the audience to c'mon many times, if he's toned it down his writers have probably become aware of the meme.
Yes it's an awful show, the humor is shit and it mostly serves to inform low-information democrats about issues they never heard of, mashed up with cynical hipster non-sequitur barbs.
