Never heard of this Jon Hamm, and he seemed, if you'll pardon the pun, quite Hammfisted into this episode. Like he agreed to do it so they wrote the entire episode around him. Still a great episode though, I just prefer the slightly sillier lower-radar cameos like Michael Ball and John Nettles.
