It was alright/. It's no Disney classic. It had too many potholes and it really pissed me off that Let it Go became the most popular song. It was too Broadway (which I totally get, Ida), but it was borderline Taylor swift. First Time in Forever gave me the old school Disney feels. I liked that, Love is an Open Door was great too. I also liked how they defied convention with the "You can't marry someone you just met" and the sisterly love. But there were too many problems with the plot for me to ever buy it for my kid and endure watching it over and over.

Which is kind of dumb considering that this movie was about empowering girls by showing that women can save themselves, while on the other hand it showed that they pretty much owe any male companion affection simply for being around.
Also the songs are a complete mixed bag.
Was Elsas ice powers and her suppression at the will of societal pretty a metaphor for homosexuality or depression. I can't tell.

I've seen it twice.
The first time I saw it, I loved it. I got invested in Anna and Elsa's weird pseudo-lesbian love story and everything.
The second time I saw it, I still liked it but my high opinion of it significantly decreased. I started to notice that literally every character is irrelevant and poorly written except for Anna and Elsa. The CGI is shit, even compared to Tangled. Also, I realized that Let it Go is basically this generation's Hakuna Matata, and I don't consider that a good thing.
Even upon a second viewing though, the songs are still fucking outstanding though. I still got wrapped up in Anna and Elsa's story and was rooting for them to scissor at the end. I like Christoph's moose also. I think it's funny and clever that the moose talks via Christoph talking for him.

Anna and Elsa are literally flawless in terms of appearance, and they seemed really reluctant to give them any "ugly" features in any of their movements animation wise.
Using the obvious comparison to Tangled, Elsa and Anna have smushed tiny faces, weird non-existent noses, and alien slanted eyes, with literally no flaws or expressiveness. Rapunzel freckles, eyes that slope downwards (obviously they were much larger than humanly possible as in most animation, but they at least they were scaled from realistic eyes), buck teeth, a slight overbite, a noticeable nose, and they allowed her to have wrinkles and make goofy faces. By letting Rapunzel have flaws, they made her much more human.
