I like it. Not a lot happens in that movie but then again that's not really the point of the movie, it's more a character story about what these 50s teens are doing in their last night before college. It has some memorable and funny dialogue (George Lucas has a screenwriting credit but certainly doesn't seem to have contributed much beyond ideas), and Harrison Ford in one of his earliest (first?) film roles.

A large amount of the final script was written by him. He had a very clear vision of what he wanted the film to be for years and fought a good amount to make it the movie he wanted. The 3 main boys other than Ron Howard's character are based off different times off Lucas's life (early high school nerd, amateur street racer, post-racing pre-film school malaise). Its a very personal movie

Thanks anon, didn't know about any of that. I just assumed not much of the script could have come from him because it's just too good as a personal and believable character story.
