The ring never even gets to Elrond. They decide to get drunk and bury the ring, knowing that they won't be able to remember where it is.
The Sisterhood of the Ring dissolves almost instantly, victim of the petty backbiting and backstabbing that plagues every all-female gathering.
However, the same thing happens among the all-female orc army of Sauronna, so nothing ends up getting conquered.
The whole trilogy is just a chaotic scramble to claim the ring, or some turf, like a fantasy-medieval version of Black Friday at a bridal shop.
