Holy shit this was some bad graphical editing. How did I miss this the first 10 times I watched it?

We could also talk about this completely retarded shot from the extended version. Huge forest spawns right next to Helms deep after the battle.

Is this bait or autism?
>>
>>63222025
Looks like age of empires tbqh

but you're for sure autistic if you care or notice this

How come? You don't see anything wrong with this shot? Here's another angle.
>>
It always seemed weird how all the original defenders of Helm's Deep were completely slaughtered except for ~10 guys
>>
>>63222025

It's done in panning/zooming shots, so in the context of the film it looks absolutely fine.

The film wasn't designed to stand up to nitpicking autistic niggers going over individual frames.
>>63222319

Wait, are you.....serious?
>>
It's a few frames in an otherise impressive movie visually. Especially for 2002 (production in like 1998-01)

Noone notices that area anyways because your eyes are drawn to the keep.
>>
>>63222575
Read the book, after the battle trents "spawned" a forest on dead bodies.
>just Tolkien things
>>
>>63222603
Are you serious? I know the trees awoke in Fangorn, but would you believe that trees traveled 75 miles across the gap of Rohan in one day?

What >>63222652 said makes a little more sense, but it's still a terrible scene to put in a movie.
>>
>>63222775
It's fantasy dude, you should expect stupid shit like that, if it breaks your suspense of disbelief go watch a biopic.
>>
>>63222025
> How did I miss this the first 10 times I watched it?
Because it's a background detail and the focus is the keep in the centre right, in a shot that only lasts a brief amount of time.

So basically the red circle is meant to only be seen by your peripheral vision and fill in the rest of the shot.

Not saying it isn't bad CGI, just explaining why you didn't notice it before and why it doesn't really matter, especially considering 2002.
>>
>>63222915
That's a fucking horrible argument. Just because it's fantasy doesn't mean it can go fucking apeshit whenever it wants to. Yes, fantasy is supposed to be mystical and full of unanswered questions, but a fucking forest appearing out of nowhere (in the movie) is way over the top in both cases. The rest of the movies and scenes did fantasy right, but this one didn't. So saying "it's bad because it's scene from fantasy movie" is a retarded argument.

There's magic in the world dude, they simply didn't bother showing it spawn onscreen, on a scene they ultimately cut from the theatre release. Keep sperging about that shit if you want, not gonna stop you.

>would you believe that trees traveled 75 miles across the gap of Rohan in one day?

yes. 75 miles can be walked in 24ish hours assuming trees dont need to sleep or take piss breaks

they walked there. also its a group of Huorns not ents
>>
>>63222025
I never noticed anything in that section actually, in my memory Helms Deep was just the semicircular fort.
>>
>>63223216
Spoken like a person who knows shit about movies. I wonder what the Lord of the Rings would have looked like if PJ had the same "dude its magic" attitude you have, instead of sperging about every scene while filming.

they didnt magically spawn stop saying that. they just walked there

>it's a 40k baby
no wonder this whole thread is retarded. Go back to /tg/ have have your little autism fest over there.
>>
with the benefit of hindsight:

only FOTR is a good film
TT and ROTK suck ass
>>
>>63225720
>autism fest

ill admit /tg/ is shit but where is the autism in pointing out that they walked there when its already a topic of discussion? sounds like you got triggered m8
>>
>>63225907
The Hobbit is the only good book, really.
The rest just take it's adventure book theme too far and make it look grander than it actually is.
