I wasn't starving myself. I ate 5-6 small meals a day to speed up my metabolism (basically glorified snacks). I ate fresh veg and fruit with yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken breasts, fish and steel-cut oats. Cut down on sugar and salt.
I also walked and biked a bit while drinking plenty of water, but 90% of the battle is in the kitchen. It's all about portion control.
