That's his whole character basically. Is how "funny" he looks and sounds. I noticed that later on in the show his voice must have changed or gotten more cracked as it wasn't as annoying before. Plus there was never really a reason for bubbles to sound like the way he does in the first place.

its the kind of show that stayed the same quality wise over like 7 years, i for one enjoyed every season and all the movies. the last 2 seasons lost a bit of appeal and everyone looked a lot older but at this point its like who cares, they can do whatever they want and id watch it.

This is the best show ever made. All the characters are incorrigible fuck ups, and it's oddly endearing. Helps if you know people like this, though.
It seems you either have to identify with these characters, because you're an idiot, or recognize them from your own life. If you don't fall into one of those categories you'll probably just think the show is stupid.

In current seasons, every episode seems to deal with the main plot. In earlier ones we seemed to have more one-offs or episodes less about the main plot, more about shinanigans that would just earn money towards the main plot.

Pretty on the nose about Bubbles though. I don't see the problem with him becoming a major character. He was always pretty big, even early on, despite what echo chamber anons repeating here. They like to pretend that he all of a sudden took center stage somewhere between season 3 or 4, but it was a lot closer to the opening of season 2. Season 1 used him sparingly, I guess.
