Well maybe not the best but still a very good Bond movie.

It's the best all around.
Connery films have more spy stuff.
Moore has comedy.
Dalton has a darker tone.
Later Brosnan films have more action.
Craig films are a bit more grounded.
Goldeneye is right in the middle. It hits all of the notes in just the right amounts.
I think it's overall the best.
literally the worst brosnan movie
when you stop following groupthink andlearn to have fun

It also has nice casino/high society scenes and nice gadgets. You might be right.

Agreed. It gets so much bond-shit right. just feels good as fuck.
It even has the right amount of cheesiness.
I never realized the same guy directed Goldeneye and Casino Royale (2006). Why the fuck can't he have at least one more go with Bond? Maybe he's waiting for the next actor to come around to do the best Bond movie of his era.
Here's an idea, instead of giving Bond to a new actor give the director's seat to Martin Campbell for 4-5 movies, and change Bond on every movie.

>craig
>bond
That's not The World Is Not Enough.

wouldn't say it's the best, but definitely in the top 5
Brosnan was the best Bond after Connery.
I liked how the Craig films are more grounded as you say, but their biggest failing is that they take themselves too seriously. Even in Brosnan's films there were lighthearted moments. With Craig's, I feel like I'm watching a Jason Bourne film.

But Goldeneye is more fun than Brosnan's other Bond movies.
