Can anyone recommend like Taxi Driver, but in space? An introspective movie just with a more expansive open setting than a big city. Maybe less dialog.
>introspective
>open space
2001: A Space Odyssey?
Moon?
It's difficult to know what you're really after.
Adventures of Pluto Nash
Blade Runner

Could be cool.

I want something more stripped down, less characters, so you can really focus on the ones that remain. A desert setting would work as well.
Am I more clear now?

Blade runner if it were actually in open space would work, but it's basically more like a futuristic taxi driver (in tone I mean). They are in the big metropolis the entire movie, with the city almost being a character in its own right, it kind of distracted from the themes of the movie (what is a human? Etc).

Also moon doesn't get very thematically interesting. It doesn't bring up any difficult questions. It's more of just a fun story.
I mean something more philosophical or whatever if you get what I'm saying.

You're saying Solaris. Or Stalker, for that matter.

That one segment in the Heavy Metal movie.

Yeah, perhaps Stalker less so. Seen em already tho in any case.
mfw this is what I want in a Metroid movie
The whole introspective exploration movie in space that is, not a movie like pic related.

The Rover might be like that, but I haven't seen it.
