Except modern bodybuilding has become a freak show more concerned with muscle mass than any sort of aesthetic appeal. Arnold followed the Reg Park/Steve Reeves model of using bodybuilding to get into showbiz. These days, they're trying to look like anime characters.

It's a strange thing. There's having the ability to act and having screen presence; they don't always coincide. Schwarzenegger is not a very good actor (he's good enough) but he definitely has screen presence.
