i put them on par with one another. 2 does a lot right but they went way too fucking overboard with the pop culture references
If you watch 2001 it's like an uncompromised vision of the future. You'd be hard pressed to believe it was made two years before the moon landings, let alone even in the sixties.
Then you watch 2010 and it's the most eighties looking thing you could ever imagine.
Nah OP, not even close, yet an alright movie and underrated in some ways.
Pic related though, still can't understand how it went over the heads of some people who liked the original.
