I know Alien and Even Horizon, and I guess Pitch Black fits in to the horror catagory, but I'd like more examples.

>>
>>63164063
>>
>>63164089
Oh yeah forgot about this one.
>>
>>63164101
Resident evil is in the future tho?
Or is it only Umbrella Corp that has sci-fi technology in the present?
>>
splice
>>
>>63164787
>horror
Not comedy/porn
>>
>>63164514
I'm pretty sure the first couple take place in the present day they were released.
>>
>>63162356
Prometheus was a prequel so it actually takes place in the past.
>>
>>63164146
This was weird, but definitely not horror

BTFO
>>
>>63165282
The fuck? The first alien takes place in 2122. Pretty fucking far into the future.
Prometheus takes place in 2093. Which is still futuristic sci-fi.
>>

>>
>>63165723

>>
>>63166077
That it's futuristic sci-find 'horror'.
Not present day fiction horror, as you would claim.
>>
Nobody mentioning Infini, just came out few weeks ago.
Nothing special, far from perfect but exactly what ur asking for.
>>
>>63162356
literally all of them
>>
>>63162356
Event Horizon had so much promise and it squandered it.
>>
>>63163884
That's about all you got OP, everything else is indie shit that sounds great until you watch it.
>>
>>63168425
I can't tell if you're retard or if you're seriously suggesting that all sci-fi horrors take place in the future.

You do realize that science fiction movies can take place in present day right?
>>
>>63168525
I don't mind if it's not good or not. Just as long as it's not cheesy B-movie syfy shit.
>>
>>63168456
I dunno, I kind of liked it.

Dead Space: Downfall (2008, western animation)
Galaxy of Terror (1981)
Forbidden World (1982)

Seconding.
>>
>>63169359
thanks anon.

You guys are forgetting the cinematic masterpiece that is Jason X.
>>
This is supposed to be a few years in the future, but it is so dated that it looks more like 30 years in the past of an alternate past,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkDje147gwk

Lifeforce (1985) is also a future horror sci-fi, but is dated, less dated than above.
>>
>>63171280
And a few of the later Critters movies I think?

Hardware is one of my favourite movies and it kind of fits what you're looking for. I personally think that the director had the makings to become the next Paul Verhoeven before his career was stopped by bad luck.

Hardware's made on almost no budget but it looks very impressive. It's marketed as an Alien knockoff but it's more Argento inspired than anything else.

I'm looking for sci-fi horror, I wouldn't call that movie horror.

It's a great movie though.

check out Outland, OP. more or less an Alien film, as the aesthetics are similar due to some of the crew working on both movies.
