Groundbreaking.
I enjoy watching the room.
the room bluray is godly cinema
has he done anything else?
dare to imply, even if you are not a cinema goer, that you would not pay to see this
>tfw your girlfriend falls asleep 15 minutes into The Room
Showed it to her last night, she hated it.
>>63159584
Dump her.
>>63159505
he has his own damn show m8
>>63159457
To be, or naawt to be. That is the question
>>63159625
kek
>>63159573
No. It must be done by someone other than Wiseau. Franco is so wrong for it. I honestly think that Nic Cage could pull off Wiseau.
>The Room still has monthly screenings across the world
He MUST be a millionaire by now.
>>63159622
She liked Birdemic and Troll 2 so I think she's alright.
>>63159625
>>63159711
Yea and it's pretty fucking awful. I think he's trying to capitalize on the whole "it's so bad it's good" thing but it doesn't really work if he knows what he's doing is terrible. It doesn't even have a fucking narrative and he couldn't even keep a consistent cast. The best way I can describe it is that every single scene feels like a porn intro.
>>63159878
it's not just that, it doesn't benefit from all the people who actually helped The Room watchable: the cinematographers, sound recordists, props guys. It's a cheap looking eye-sore and a lot of the dialogue is barely audible.
>>63159750
He was a millionaire before The Room even started filming.
>>63161472
Only because of his ESL teaching sugar momma.
>>63159948
Yeah people don't bring this up enough. The room has enough basic filmmaking craft involved that its watchable—the high production value really frees you up to focus on tommys insane vision and the occasional ludicrous quirk. Unlike say birdemic, which is so shoddily made its not even enjoyable.
>>63159457
wow you look so sexy lisa
>>63159573
They're starting filming on the 7th.

ENicolas Cage would have been GOAT as Tommy, I agree

>James Franco is attached to direct and play Wiseau, while his brother Dave Franco is set to star as Sestero. Seth Rogen will also play an unspecified role.
>Franco stated The Disaster Artist was "a combination of the Paul Thomas Anderson films Boogie Nights and The Master.
>James is Tommy
>Dave is Greg
This is going to be dog shit in the not fun way.
Fuck off, anon.

>>James Franco is attached to direct and play Wiseau, while his brother Dave Franco is set to star as Sestero. Seth Rogen will also play an unspecified role.
Fucking why
>>63161927
>"a combination of the Paul Thomas Anderson films Boogie Nights and The Master"
Comparing it to PTA films only makes me wish he was directing it since the material would've been so perfect for him.
I haven't seen Franco's previous directional attempts but they all seem to be obscure arthouse flicks with mixed reviews. When I read the book I thought it had great adaption potential but I'm worried this is going to turn out to be tacky film student-tier. He's also too young to be playing Wiseau unless he doing it with prosthetics, but Javier Bardem, Christopher Walken or even Nick Cage would be more appropriate.
>>63161827
shiiiiiiit
>>63161927
I really cannot stand Franco and DUDE WEED LMAO guy
>>63162801
One was film, the other was digital.
>>63161522
i thought he was ex-kgb or some other type of shaddy eastern-euro gangster/spy
>>63161927
I just want the Franco brothers to fuck off already, they're such bad actors and ruin everything they're in besides stoner comedies.
>>63159733
No. Franco is perfect because he always looks a bit detached, just like Wiseau. He always looks high.
>>63159457
So did he edit from the video or film negative?
>>63165025
Both. Thats why its so inconsistent looking, especially watching it on the blu-ray. The HD makes it super apparent which format each take is.
>>63162199
This one is great
>>63166248
>that smile
What went right?
>>63163081
He apparently made his money from his clothing business and owning real estate.
>>63169792
A mediocre model turned actor somehow has a career, fame, and the most incredible anecdotes in the world.
>>63166248
Wow, I need to get me the HD version then..
>>63162199
he's just the best
>>63163081
I think he was involved in some kind of property-based money laundering scheme and somehow got to keep a lot of it.

>>63170908
It's an amazing read m8
>>63170908
It's genuinely very good. There's something of interest on every page.
>>63161927
Let's see more of these.
Forgot image.
>>63162199
Based Tommy
>>63171089
You gotta give him credit, he's a patriotic motherfucker and obviously thankful to be here, unlike 80% of immigrants.
>>63170908
The book is great, but the audiobook version is fucking fantastic.
>>63171222
This.
I don't have the hard copy, but I do have the audiobook and the fact that Mark narrates the whole thing and does a respectable impression of Tommy makes it that much better.
>>63159625
Who is this semen demon?
>>63161918
Goddamn I was cackling the whole time. I have to read this book.

>>63166248
I'm sorry, so it's in film and digital?
>>63159457
>>63162199
Please post the one where Greg is in Europe for the first time for a big movie role and is nervous but then he gets a heartwarming card from Tommy
>implying tommy isnt an alien that came here to study us but fell in love with our culture so he decided to stay
>>63173856
That is correct.
>>63170908
Get it. It may be hard to believe, but Sestero is genuinely hilarious. It's also strangely touching at times and made me feel for Tommy even though he's an incredibly fucked up person.
>>63170908
you have the internet, son
just download a pdf and read it
>>63171089
So let me get this right?
Tommy is some Eastern European immigrant who speaks French, made millions in shady fucking leases, and became an actor in a movie so notoriously bad that most people in America are aware of it, or have seen it?
Dude is a fucking KGB agent.
Its almost like Tommy was doing a riff on St. Elmo's Fire, though that is giving him too much credit.
>>63174949
I assume he was a subject of MKUltra or DB Cooper
>>63174949
This is how the Russians win
>>63174949
I always figured he was involved in some really bad shit during the balkan wars living under an assumed identity and the movie was a way for him to launder his reserve cash
>>63176480
D-did Tommy take part in ethnic cleansings?
>>63174513
Fantastic
>>63170908
its hilarious and will make you want to rewatch the movie just to see all the crazy shit that you learned about the making of it
>>63176533
he never sat quite right with me, like he's almost trying a little too hard to be weird and moronic.
I'm dying to pour through military records just for that made-for-tv moment when I stumble across a file photo of him decked out in Serbian military dress. And then I'll picture him saying "Oh hai Mark" and I'll just crack the fuck up.
>>63174949
