If the waiter doesn't get enough tips to cover minimum wage then the employer has to cover the difference anyways. Trust me I used to be a waiter that got payed $2.50/hr by my employer. Not that it mattered because I ended up making $15/hr anyways.

I was a really shitty waiter and this was a really shitty restaurant too. It baffled me that people would give me so much money for doing jack shit.

Was always disappointed that he caved, and I lost respect for every other character since they pressured him into tipping. Tipping is horseshit.

The whole system turns every restaurant outing into a mini xmas where you feel pressured into giving gifts to people you couldn't care less about.
