I've only seen Midnight in Paris and Blue Jasmine but I was very impressed with both movies.
What are some essential Woody-core films?
>you never spend Midnight in Jasmine
Would hit it post-breakdown as well.

These are his two best recent films. Allen put out some good stuff in the 70s and 80s. His best is Hannah and her Sisters.
>>63127385
Hannah and Her Sisters, Crimes and Misdemeanors, both a nice mix of his dramatic and comedic styles
Annie Hall, Zelig, the early funny ones like Banana and Sleeper, Sweet and Lowdown, there's a lot of good and great films, depends what you're in the mood for. Husbands and Wives is a heavy divorce drama, Vicky Christina Barcelona is sexy, Deconstructing Harry is terrific, his Wild Strawberries. Similarly Stardust Memories is like his 8 1/2.
Annie Hall is probably one of the best romantic comedies of all time.
A shame about the little girls though.

>A shame about the little girls though.
>little girls
Yeah, shame you're brainwashed to make that inference. He fell in love with his ex girlfriend's adult daughter.
purple rose of cairo is my favourite
if you liked midnight in paris you will like it, it is similarly fantastical and set in the past

>A shame
Why do you think women exist? They aren't biological.
If your hot ex had a hot ass daughter, no reason to move to the superior model.

>He fell in love with his ex girlfriend's adult daughter.
What? I thought she was like 10 years old.
>>63130673
And? He didn't fuck her until she was 18, so who gives a fuck.
>>63130697
>>63130673

My ex actually did this because her mom told her to.

>a woman did something silly
Its a woman.
His Casino Royale cameo is the greatest cameo of all time.
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Match Point
Annie Hall
Manhattan
>>63127385
Irrational Man (2015) and Sleeper (1973) are my favorites.
>>63127655
I hated Manhattan (1979).
>>63127385
Bananas was so great!
>>63130763
>Casino Royale
He knew a woman's role. Why is this a bad thing now?
>>63130781
This nigga has the right idea, but I would also add:
Love and Death
Stardust Memories
and Hannah and Her Sisters to the list.
Is there any way to see Irrational Man online? Joaquin is a top tier actor bro
>>63130799
>I hated Manhattan (1979).
I'm really curious, why so?
>>63132075
Yeah, Manhattan is objectively his best. It doesn't stick of his self-indulgent editing or dialogue that his earlier works had, when his storytelling has some discipline he's not so bad.

>Manhattan is objectively his best.
I take it you've only seen a couple?
